We've had a great long Easter weekend- I say "long" since Myke took off Friday to spend the day with us and his parents...and he RARELY has a day off. Thom & Maureen (his parents) arrived Thursday afternoon from PA to spend Easter with us, as they do pretty much every year. We've had a great time and have been on the run and keeping busy, going to the beach, running errands, going out to eat, riding bikes, etc. We got a new bike trailer to seat the boys in - one of those ones that attaches to the back of a bike. It's awesome that we can all pile on bikes and take off! We rode to the bay on Friday and then today Myke and I went on a "date night" and rode down to our favorite Thai place by the ocean.

What Myke would look like with just 2 kids
Thom & Maureen took a spin in a Car2Go car which is a new thing in San Diego where you can
"borrow" cars to get where you need to go. Once you sign up you receive a Car2Go pass in the mail. Then, once you find an available car (which you can look up on a mobile app that tells locations of the cars) you just get to the car, swipe your pass, and the car opens and you can drive off! It charges by the minutes to a credit card that you put on file when signing up. It's a pretty neat program, but definitely has some quirks (i.e.: Myke's Car2Go broke down (JUST STOPPED DEAD) on a pretty busy street and he had to get out and leave there (blocking traffic), call the main office so they could come tow it, etc). There are some 500 cars in the San Diego area so there are almost always available cars within walking distance of where you are (at least has been the case for us so far). Thom and Maureen drove this one back to our house after church & coffees yesterday. They parked it right out front of our house and 20 minutes later we looked out and saw a guy jumping in and taking off with it. So they are definitely used! And, by the way, the cars are all electric. Pretty cool program!
